Batu Ferringhi Beach

Batu Ferringhi is a glorious stretch of golden sand that has become the most popular beach in Penang. Simply take the coast road northwest from Georgetown and then relax in the sun or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try your hand at windsurfing, canoeing or parasailing. The huts along the beach come alive later in the afternoon with a carnival atmosphere, and you can savour a glass of something cold as you watch the locals painting batiks, before strolling along the beachfront to enjoy the sunset. The beach can get busy at the weekend, so the best time to visit is during the week. If you really love it here, you can book a stay only moments away at the Bayview Beach Resort.
